Training alone works. Training alongside a community tends to work for longer. The research on exercise adherence consistently points to social accountability as one of the strongest predictors of whether someone sticks with a program past the first few months.
This isn’t about competition — it’s about visibility. Knowing that someone else is tracking their own progress, sharing a setback, or celebrating a small win creates a low-pressure form of accountability that’s hard to replicate alone.
It’s a big part of why we’ve built community and peer check-ins directly into our own group coaching format, rather than treating it as an optional add-on.
