Our mission
ISST exists because good strength-training education shouldn’t be locked behind a high price tag or buried in conflicting advice. We teach what actually works, and back it up.
Why we exist
Strength training advice online is abundant and often contradictory. Most of it is optimized for engagement, not accuracy. ISST was founded to be a dependable alternative — a place where the fundamentals are explained clearly, backed by evidence, and free to access.
We serve people at every stage: complete beginners learning their first movement patterns, intermediate lifters looking to break plateaus, and anyone who wants a straight answer instead of a sales pitch.
What "evidence-based" means here
It means we default to what current research and clinical practice actually support — progressive overload, adequate protein intake, movement quality before load, and realistic timelines — rather than whatever trend is popular this month. When the evidence is mixed, we say so, instead of pretending certainty we don’t have.
Rishabh Sharma — Founder
Rishabh has spent over 12 years coaching strength and physique clients, with a background spanning clinical nutrition, body recomposition and competitive powerlifting. That combination — clinical grounding plus real coaching-floor experience — shapes everything ISST teaches.
He founded ISST to put that same evidence-based approach in front of a much wider audience, through free education and accessible group coaching.
Contributors
ISST’s content is currently written and coached by Rishabh Sharma. As the institute grows, additional coaches and contributors will be introduced here.
